2011/12
We hope you can attend as many events as possible. If this is your first time with the club and/ or you need equipment, please phone Martin in advance of an event or training session. All roller ski tours are open to members of all clubs. Cyclists are welcome on all our tours. Please contact the organiser first. NOTE: In order to view full details of the tours and maps in The Rollerski Directory but you find scroll bars are absent, you may need to tick "Compatibility View" under your "Tools" drop down list when on the Tour page. If this fails and you are blocking "pop-ups" on your computer's web browser, you may need to temporarily change the blocking level to: "allow pop-ups from Secure Sites". SAFETY - When roller skiing in public places, members are requested to show consideration for other users. Extreme care should be exercised with regard to speed and use of poles when approaching or being approached by other people, especially in the vicinity of children, cyclists or animals. Please do not give anyone cause for complaint, otherwise enjoy your roller skiing. For National events, keep an eye on the Snowsport England (SSE) website and follow
through "Cross Country" then "Calendar of Events" (may not be on first page).

and SSE events.
These may be changed at short notice if circumstances change, so keep in touch. September Thurs 1st YD - NOTE - LAST THURSDAY EVENING ROLLERSKI TRAINING this year Sun 4th YD - Roller ski tour North Lincolnshire from Melton Ross to Barton upon Humber. Sat 17th YD - Cycle Tour October Sat 1ST, SUN 2ND - SSE ROLLER SKI COURSE LANCASTER CONTACT MICHAEL AND HELEN SMITH Sun 16th YD - Roller ski tour. Venue Fimber, Burdale and Thixendale, East Yorkshire Sat 22nd YD - Roller ski training, Spen Valley Greenway. November Sun 13th YD - Roller ski tour. north Newbald to Bishop Burton, Yorkshire Wolds. Sat 19 Nov YD - Roller ski Training Spen Valley Greenway. Thurs 24th Nov YD - Snow ski waxing demonstration in Helen Bell's garage. December Sun 11th YD - Roller ski tour. Venue Blacktoft. Or on-snow training if snow. Sat 17th YD - Roller ski or on-snow training if snow. Tues 20th Dec - YD Club Xmas dinner. Probably at White Horse, Thornton, Bradford. Organised by David Parkin. January 2012 Fri/ Sat/ Sun, 20th/ 21st/ 22nd - YD - Weekend away at Gearstones Lodge, Ribblehead. The club's ever popular weekend in the Yorkshire Dales. Contact Helen Bell. February Sun 5th YD - A walk or Ski. Late Feb YDCCSC annual club holiday. This year the thought is to go to Canada, probably for about two weeks. Anyone who would like to join us should contact Martin or Helen asap. March Sun 18th YD - Roller ski tour. Venue TBA. Sun 25th to Sun 31st. Snowsport England on-snow course, Kvitavatn, Norway.
