In 2011 we chose Akaslompolo/Yllas for our club holiday, a well known resort in Finnish Lapland with several hundred kilometres of tracks. We went there for a week on 13th of March, when the temperatures were a little warmer, the days a little longer, and the prices a little cheaper. The resort and hotel lived up to expectations and the snow conditions were excellent. The temperature remained below freezing yet we had gloriously blue skies. Wonderful!

The Club holiday in February 2010 was at Beitostolen in Norway. There are some scenic pictures on the Gallery page of the fantastic views. It's not all scoffing waffles!

The club has enjoyed many splendid holidays in various parts of Finland including Finnish Lapland. Another recent Club holiday in Finnish Lapland was at Easter 2008 when the snow cover was excellent with plenty of daylight to enjoy the wide variety of well prepared tracks available. Anyone fancy a sausage on the way!?!!

We also like to visit other parts of Scandinavia and Europe.
